City Hospital is designed to be built in stages, where the General Hospital (380 beds), Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital (380 beds) and Diagnostics Blocks as the 1. Stage, and Oncology Hospital (205 beds), Cardiovascular Hospital (205 beds) and Training Blocks has been proposed as the 2. Stage.
Policlinics are planned on the ground and first floors of the Patient Bed Blocks that each examination room is positioned to receive daylight. Diagnostics departments such as Radiology and Nuclear Medicine are located on the same level with the Policlinics to provide a direct outpatient circulation.
Vertical and horizontal circulation elements as Patients, Visitors, Staff and Service are planned in different zones. 3500 car capacity Carpark (125.000sqm) is proposed as a separate block and connected with the Hospital at several levels. 1500 bed Hospital consists of 500 Policlinics, 1170 Patient Rooms, 230 Intensive Care Unit, 100 Neonatal intensive care unit, 15 Labour-Delivery-Recovery and 50 Operation Room.
