Zliten Training and Research Hospital is designed on an existing health campus land and proposed to be built in stages, so as not to interrupt the operating hospital facilities. Main Circulation Alley towards the south-west and north-east axis and conservation of the existing Hospital are the starting points of our design criteria.

Hospital structure consists of modularized Patient Rooms and Diagnostics blocks that are located on the spine of the complex. Starting from 200 bed Hospital, by linear extension, it may grow up to 800 beds. This extension not only increases the capacity but also provides an opportunity to branch-out the General Hospital. Each modular block may be considered as separate Branch Hospital thanks to their relation with the main alley and the parking area.
