TEKIRDAG ONCOLOGY HOSPITAL
The 100-bed hospital is designed to connect with the hospital next to the existing hospital mass. The hospital entrance is planned with a wide gallery space to divide the monoblock block into two. The hospital entrance hall is supported by a skylight, with the aim of making patients feel peaceful.
Contrary to its complex and intensive hospital function, the building has a simple architectural language in the second and third dimensions. In the access to the building, the separation of personnel, patients and visitors was considered, external patient, internal patient, visitor and personnel flows were separated in horizontal and vertical circulation and unit zoning, circulation overlaps were prevented. In order to provide spatial and psychological comfort, it is aimed to receive maximum daylight in all spaces with the tears opened in the roof coverings and the inner gardens. In the perception of interior and exterior, belonging, privacy and orientation are used as the most important design inputs.
All spaces used by the patient, such as examination, patient bedroom, observation areas, are planned to benefit from daylight. The gallery space at the entrance of the hospital was planned together with the entrance eaves and the perception of interior and exterior was integrated.
